Positive Choices have a number of support workers who have come from diverse backgrounds and are determined to provide our residents the support they need.
Each support session is bespoke to the needs of the individual. We are able to achieve this because we have mandatory paperwork we complete in order to be able to ensure the needs of each resident are met to the best of our ability. So, after our needs assessment has been completed during the sign up process, support staff are able to work with a resident to create their own support plan and the support worker and the resident work together to achieve the agreed goals.
We are able to assist with any issues or concerns, needs or wants and if not ourselves, then we will signpost to organisations who may specialise in the area of support required.
Our staff are sources locally and have knowledge of the area and the support networks that are relevant. Positive Choices aim to provide excellent, accountable services with residents at the heart of our organisation. We ensure that we engage the residents and investigate various platforms to ensure the resident is meeting their goals. Staff will regularly meet the residents and develop a positive relationship. We adopt a person centred approach, this allows the resident to flourish and develop their skills and confident for the wider world.
We support our residents with job searching, housing, health and budgeting to help give residents the tools to achieve and maintain independence. We work with various specialist services within the area to allow us to provide the right support. We work with Jobcentres, health services, food banks, career advisors and, drug and alcohol services and clothing banks
